Well what a blessed and fruitful day! It was perhaps one of the hottest days we've been out with the Prayer Stop. As we arrived and just set up the stand, two girls approached us wanting to know more about what we do and why we were there. I asked if they believed in Jesus and they replied they did and were Catholics. So I asked them who Jesus is and why He had to die. They knew who He was but not why He had to die so I presented them with the full gospel message. I then asked them if they had any prayer requests. The youngest of the girls, Niamh, told me of a relative who has cancer. So right there we stood together, praying in the name of Jesus for the woman's healing. This young girl, right at the very end as we were packing up came up to me and thanked us for praying! I was really blessed by that! You don't see that often.

After days of preparation and prayer the day had finally arrived! After an initial fall of rain our prayer for lovely weather was answered. It was glorious all day. At 12pm people began to arrive shortly followed by the Mayor and his wife. The mayor was instrumental in getting us the building and offered to open today’s festival. When he officially opened the event he shared a little of the history of the building. The worship band from Farnworth Christian fellowship played praise and worship music followed by a time of testimony. Many from the community showed up and heard the gospel being preached. We put out an announcement for anyone who would like prayer to come to the Prayer Stop. This was successful as we received many prayer requests.

It was the most beautiful day! As soon as we prayed and set up the Prayer Stop I (Geraldine) proceeded to give out tracts when a man leaning on a cane came over begged for my help. He was desperately hungry and ready to pass out. He just wanted me to buy him something to eat and a coffee. Calling Gordon over I asked for his name. He told us his name is Colin and that he had come to point of desperation. We had to take that opportunity to give God the glory and share with him the gospel. However you could tell he was very tired so we prayed for him, sat him down and got him some food and a drink. Not long after his spirits really lifted! Colin then told us more about himself. He admitted to making poor choices in his life, however he doesn't drink or do drugs. To the extent that he avoids soup kitchens as he told us going there gives one a reputation of being a user. He asked us if we could call a number he had committed to memory. It belonged to someone who puts him up some nights. So Sara called the number. Unfortunately the man who answered could not put him up that night. Not giving up I called a friend who might know places we could try. When I phoned her she told me she was just round the corner at the YMCA and that there would be people there who could help! Praise the Lord! After about an hour we managed to sort out a place for Colin to stay. While I was waiting with him he just kept saying, "God must have known, He must have seen my desperation." Praise God! This man Colin is such a lovely man. Please pray for him. He admitted to having Bi polar which has led him to being so misunderstood.

My wife Ginger, my nine year old daughter Reagan, my six year old daughter Madison aka “Madi”, and our 15 year old foreign exchange student from Germany Luise all went on a mission trip to Jamaica called "Cruise with a Cause" on May 30th to June 4th, 2011. The trip was an amazing experience. I had the privilege of being a part of the largest mission trip ever as 3,000 people at the invitation of the Jamaican government boarded a ship in Miami and headed for Jamaica to share the Gospel with the people on the island of Jamaica in their schools, prisons, and streets. While on the trip I had the privilege of explaining the gospel to Luise and she made the decision to place her trust in Christ. I had the privilege of sharing the Gospel with many other people while on the island of Jamaica and seeing them make decisions to place their trust in Christ. I had the privilege of watching my daughter, Reagan and Madi pray with others and fearlessly share their faith even thought they are only six and nine years old. I had the privilege of seeing our “adopted daughter” Luise from Germany pray with others and share her new faith with the people in Jamaica. I had the privilege of seeing my best friend and wife with her beautiful smile share the love of Christ with others. I had the opportunity to make new friends and get to know current friends better. As amazing as this trip was, it did not start out so well.

I wanted to let you know about the Prayer Stop kiosk you gave me. When I shared about my most memorable moment on the trip, it was about this woman who was drawn to the PS kiosk me and Mike had. She needed prayer for her Multiple Scoliosis and joint-knee pain. I prayed for her and she burst into tears just for the fact that somebody wanted to pray for her. I was so touched by her reaction and it's due to your PS kiosk catching her eye and coming for prayer. At the interview, I couldn't remember her name but that's what I shared.

What an eye opening and amazing adventure I was blessed to embark on the first week of June. From the boarding of a sold-out ship, loaded down with three thousand warriors for Christ, to walking down streets praying for the lost and burdened in the slums of Montego Bay, it impacted me so profoundly and was a unique experience, I will never forget it. I had so many life changing experiences on the 2011 Cruise with a Cause that I could probably write a short book on the whole event.

"I received the Prayer Stop Starter Kit this past week and put it to use for the first time Tuesday morning July 6th at the courthouse in downtown Baton Rouge. In less than 2 minutes after setting it up, I had a young lady named Chrissy request prayer for her upcoming custody hearing for her daughter. The father of her daughter had apparently been physically abusive towards Chrissy and she was hoping the judge would grant her full custody.

For all of you who have heard of this Prayer Stop thing, and thought " I don't know, I wonder if anyone would even come near, or want to pray". Heat is a story that has impacted me! I met Darrel at The Atlanta Motor Speedway, as I was bringing a team of Christians to share the gospel with those who had not heard, or at least had not been changed by the Amazing Grace of God. Darrel had the Prayer Stop Station set up in the midst of the Game Plan for Life & I Am Second booth area! He was already talking and praying with several people, and when he finished talking, he introduced himself to me, and politely asked me if I would like to work with his team of guys. |

I have done a lot of witnessing in shopping malls over the past few years. Normally in the mall we have one eye out for the lost and the other for the security guards. We’ve had run ins with security, but typically we have been able to witness at the malls and talk to lots of people without any issues. We thank God, prayers and experience in doing this. |
